Brittany Thurman 

Studio Owner
Instructor 

Brittany, a seasoned dance instructor with an impressive 20-year teaching journey, catering to students of all ages, from tiny tots aged 18 months to adults. 

Notably, Brittany is the former owner of RGV On-Site Dance, a thriving dance venture she established in the Rio Grande Valley in 2013. This enterprise she birthed continues to flourish today, a testament to her enduring commitment to the art of dance.

Brittany proudly holds a certification in AcroDance, accredited through Acrobatic Arts, showcasing her expertise in fostering a fusion of dance and acrobatics. Her dedication to her craft remains steadfast, as she tirelessly advances her dance education through frequent online courses, conventions, and active participation in various community groups, connecting with fellow studio owners and industry experts across the nation and around the globe. 

But Brittany's passion goes beyond the dance studio. She believes in the power of service to her students, their parents, and her wider community. Her dedication to her students is not only seen in the studio but also on the stage, where she shines as a choreographer for Dancing For The Stars, a charity event hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County.

Alex Kicker

My name is Alex Kicker and I am a senior kinesiology major at Tarleton state university! I have been dancing since I was 3 years old. I have experience in various styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, pom, acro, musical theater, drill team, and hip-hop. I was part of a dance studio for 9 years and danced competitively during that time. I joined my high school's drill team for 2 years and served as a senior lieutenant/officer in my last year.

I am now a member of the Texan Stars Dance Team at Tarleton and going into my 4th year as a game-day leader. I started teaching dance during my senior year of High School and grew a passion for inspiring young dancers. In addition to this, I also work for a drill team company called, Danceline U.S.A, where I've had the opportunity to work with and choreograph for High School dance teams all over Texas. I’ve now been teaching and choreographing dance for about 5 years and love growing my passion working at Studio 6:14. I can't wait to meet you!

Lori Brown 

Ballet Director

Instructor

A native Texan, grew up in South TX and later settled in Fort Worth, TX after she graduated from Texas Christian University. She began working for Devotion In Motion Dance School in Fort Worth in 2004. Over the years she taught ballet, lyrical, pre-pointe, jazz, tap,and musical theater. In 2015 she became the studio director for Devotion In Motion and continued teaching and directing until 2020, when the pandemic closed their doors. She concurrently taught and continues to teach at a private school in Fort Worth as the dance teacher once a week. After many years of searching for the right land and house to move to; she and her family found their new home in Stephenville in September 2022.

Madison Lehman

My name is Madison and I am a Tarleton student originally from Houston. I have been working at Studio 6:14 for one year as the front office assistant. I am excited to take on classes this year and get to work closely with dancers in the classroom. I can't wait to meet you!

Emeliia Atkisson
Instructor

My name is Emelia Atkisson and I was born and raised in Harker Heights, Texas. I began dancing at three years old and have loved it ever since. I am currently a member of Tarleton States Texan Stars Dance team!! I am going into my junior year and am a communications major. I’m looking forward to working with amazing students and amazing staff!

Aza Rainey 
Instructor

 

Hi y’all! My name is Aza Rainey I am from Flower Mound, Texas! I started dancing when I was 3 years old and I started doing competitive dance when I was in 2nd grade and have done it ever since. I joined cheer my freshman year and joined my high school dance team (Marcus Marquettes) for sophomore, junior, and senior year. I am so excited to meet all y’all in the fall!

Emily Gray-Mandela 

Theatre Director

Emily is a native of the Stephenville area. She is the wife of a Stephenville firefighter and a mother to two, beautiful girls. 

 

From a young age, Emily was involved in dance and theater. Her resume includes national commercials, theater, and print modeling for well-known companies. Emily was captain of her drill team, participated in One Act Play, and was involved with several local theaters. She earned a degree in Communication from Tarleton State University, where she later worked as the choreographer for Tarleton musicals for several seasons.

 

Emily owned her own dance studio for over a decade, though she stepped back from that to focus on raising her girls. She is now excited to be joining the team at Studio 6:14.

Emmie Vaughn 

Theatre Assistant 

Instructor

Emmie Vaughn is so excited to be a part of the 6:14 family! She grew up doing competition
dance at Foot Works Performing Arts Studio, then transitioned into the musical theatre realm!
She has and still does train in New York City with Chryssie Whitehead, Alexis Carra, Justin
Boccito, and more at Broadway Dance Center! Emmie has an extensive background in
character development as well and loves bringing it into the classroom! She has taught dance at
Stars Align Dance Studio, Plaza Academy, and Chapelhouse Studios. She is also a
choreographer for musical productions, most recently Big Fish at Plaza Theatre Co, and the
upcoming JTF season for Chapelhouse studios! Emmie believes that dance is rooted in love
and that the classroom should be full of it!!!

Isabella Pair

Instructor
 

Isabella Pair is a Fort Worth native, and is a Kinesiology Major at Tarleton State University. She has been dancing since she was two years old, and is a proud alumni of Margo Dean School of Ballet and Ballet Concerto, where she was a company trainee. Isabella has been trained in various styles including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Spanish, Modern, Pom, and Musical Theater. Isabella was a member of her high schools drill team for 4 years, where she served as a Social Officer. Isabella loves to work with all ages and to continue to foster the love of dance to the younger generations. From Choreographing to teaching, she absolutely loves everything to do with dance. Isabella is so excited to teach at Studio 6:14 and to continue sharing her love of dance with the next generation.
